Renewal Program

Renewal is a one-year social and economic rebirthing program that empowers and provides marginalized women with the opportunity to rebuild their life through personal development, vocational and wellness training. Often for the first time in their lives, women will come together in a class setting with other women to build support networks, to share experiences, to learn critical skills and to access new resources to begin their rebirthing process.

There are three distinct levels in the Renewal Program: Engage, Inspire, and Lead.

Most participants are assigned to the Engage Level with access to a selection of helpful trainings to get them on the right path quickly. As they progress through the levels, participants will graduate to additional levels that unlock more advanced programs. The progression through each level is what we call the rebirthing process.

While in the Renewal Program, women will learn life skills, financial literacy, personal development, health and wellness. Also within the program, women will learn basic business skills and a vocational skill with earning power in their pre-selected desired career field. Through a series of computer literacy courses, career-specific workshops and connections with other business partners, women will attend a bi-annual Career Expo and will be exposed to employment opportunities with employment partners.

The Renewal Program targets not only the women, but also the whole family. Through the Support Services module, we connect women to legal and social services to handle pressing matters such as divorce filings, custody hearings and how to apply for child support.

The Renewal Aftercare Plan connects participants with women in the community that volunteer their time to mentor them for six months. The aftercare plan allows participants to seek support for their economic empowerment by connecting them with financial services, advanced business and vocational trainings and support networks to increase their ability to earn and save. Participants that successfully enter the Aftercare Program will be eligible to apply for active scholarships to further their education.

The Renewal Program focuses on three components: Life Skills, Career Education and Support Services.
